Local Love: Liz White’s Dresses Now at Minx

We are giddy to announce that we are now carrying select styles from local clothing designer, Liz White!  Liz is no newbie to the fashion world.  Since 2006, she has been designing and making clothes for Liz White Designs and participated in numerous fashion shows.  This hand-made, hand-dyed silk dress really shows her skill and attention to detail.  From the savvy dye gradation, to the fabric covered buttons, to the sweet detailing at the waist and back; this is one well-made, well-fitting dress.  One whose lucky owner will treasure for years and years to come.

C’est Chic!

What an easy-to-wear, comfortable and chic silk dress!  Jenny Han’s newest arrival in a fun sailboat print has a relaxed cut, and its built-in sash lets you cinch the waist as much as you like.  We’ve accessorized it with all white jewelry – Ashley Buchanan’s enameled earrings and Debris’ leather bow bracelet (both handmade) – and glossy red Chelsea Crew platform heels.  J’adore!

Winter Floral

When a beautiful print comes our way, we have to get it for the store. Jenny Han’s winter floral silk dress will stand the test of time.  We love it for the pin-tucked waistline, midi length, blousy short-sleeved bodice and hidden side-seam pockets.  The cut of this dress is so lovely that we ordered it in solids too (steel grey and tomato red silk).

Ten Out of Ten

Mixing prints like dots and leaves and colors like red and fuchsia all on the same dress… in theory it shouldn’t work.  But implemented the right way by a smart designer like Tracy Reese, it’s the makings of a very special garment.  The full skirt, almost retro prints and flattering built-in obi belt make this dress a ten out of ten.
